What is Hazard pay (adicional de periculosidade)?
Also: adicional de periculosidade · periculosidade · hazard premium
Hazard pay is a 30% premium on the base salary for exposure to high risk (art. 193 of the CLT): flammables, explosives, electricity, radiation or personal-security activities. Unlike unhealthy-work pay — graduated and calculated on a different base — hazard pay is fixed at 30% and owed even where the exposure is intermittent (Súmula 364 of the TST).
The controversy concentrates on the expert report: the characterization depends on a technical survey. It is one of the highest average-value awards, because it falls on the entire contract and generates significant reflex effects.
How LABORIS AI uses it
LABORIS AI reads the hazard-pay claim, cross-references it with the expert report and the ruling pattern for the matter, estimating the probability of conviction and the reflex effects that widen the exposure.
