What is Labor judge (juiz do trabalho)?

Also: juiz do trabalho · magistrado trabalhista · labor judge

A labor judge is the magistrate who hears and decides at first instance. A titular or substitute judge of a Labor Court (art. 116 of the CF), they conduct the hearing, take the evidence and render the judgment that resolves the claim. It is the figure that most directly determines the case’s outcome.

Different judges decide the same award differently — and that variation is measurable. Recognizing it is not about the person of the judge, but about the observable pattern of their decisions, a legitimate and public input for calibrating strategy.

How LABORIS AI uses it

LABORIS AI builds the judge profile from real decisions, measuring, award by award, how far each judge departs from the average — information that sharpens the probability of conviction in the specific case.
